It Depend The Current

“It depend the current” has become a bit of a life mantra. We’ve been lucky enough to go scuba diving around the world and there’s always a group briefing in advance of the dive. The plan is to enter the water at a certain point, to descend to a certain depth, to see certain features and to surface at a certain point. But, as pointed out by our dive leaders (often English not their first language), “it depend the current” so be prepared to change direction.

You’ll have noticed we’ve gone a bit quiet with Raven CPD in recent months, partly due to life events, but also because we’ve seen a growing interest in VetQOL, our side-line which shares news with the veterinary community about living and working in Scotland, and provides administration support for veterinary practices. As a small business, we don’t have the resources at present to be able to develop both ventures. With scuba diving, it’s a lot easier to go with the current than stubbornly stick to your original plan and fight against it. Consequently, we have decided to suspend progression with Raven CPD for the time being and focus all our attention on VetQOL.

Thanks to everyone who has followed us and expressed support for Raven CPD. We’ll hopefully see you at VetQOL instead. May your “life current” push you in your planned direction, but if you find you have to go another way, make the most of it and enjoy the journey!

Pricing

We're launching Raven CPD with a Pay What You Wish approach while we get fully up and running. The Pay What You Wish guidance will appear at the end of each on-line course.

We assumed we would offer a conventional charging structure but if the Pay What You Wish approach is successful, we'll continue with it for the majority of our on-line content. This means if your finances are limited, you can access courses either for free or for a very modest contribution.

If you're in a position to be more generous, judge the financial worth of the course to you or your practice.

Please remember that any profits generated will be used to support animal welfare activities, particularly those which also benefit human welfare.
